Tens of thousands of people filled downtown Grand Rapids Saturday night for the annual Fourth of July fireworks celebration.
Jim Saintjohn from Rockford brought his family of five to see the display light up the downtown air.
“We come every year to see the fireworks,” Saintjohn said. “They are great.”
Mark Hendricks from Grand Rapids brings his family down a couple hours early to get a good viewing spot and to also enjoy the atmosphere.
The show that started at 10:30 p.m. had many people uttering out loud with approval.
