The GRCC Players’ production of “Incorruptible,” opens Thursday, April 11.
“Incorruptible,” written by Michael Hollinger and directed by Tom Kaechele, is set in Priseaux, France in 1250 A.D, in a church that isn’t receiving any miracles from their saint at the altar and their rival church seems to be getting all the attention from the Pope after they claim to possess the relics of Saint Foy, who seems to be making many working miracles. The Monks in Priseaux seem to lose hope until they take lessons from a one-eyed Minstrel and learn how to earn money to pay back old debts.
William Dunckel, costume designer for “Incorruptible,” says the audience will love the hidden gems in the production.
“I am sure (the) audience will have a great time,” Dunckel said. “There are many hidden gems in the dialogue along with how the actors deliver their lines. Along with some very fun staging and physical movements.”
Jack Mckellar, lighting operator for the production, hopes the audience will enjoy the jokes and surprises.
”I hope that the audience will react to this by finding the funny parts funny, being surprised by the twists and maybe thinking about it a little more after it’s over,” Mckellar said.
“Incorruptible” is scheduled to run April 11-13 at 8 p.m. on the Spectrum Theater’s main stage.
Tickets are available on Raider Connect. General admission is $15, GRCC staff and faculty tickets are $10, and GRCC students are $5.
