Dario Hilliard is another new addition to GRCC’s nationally ranked football team. Hilliard, the six-foot-five defensive end, graduated from St. Edward High School of Lakewood, Ohio. The class of 2009 graduate previously attended Walsh University and has now chosen to bring his talents to Grand Rapids.
“I wanted to transfer to another division one school and GRCC has presented the best opportunity for my future,” says Hilliard on his transfer to GRCC.
Hilliard is studying education and computer science.
“I want to be an elementary gym teacher. I love working with kids and being a great role model.”
Besides playing football, working and studying for his major Hilliard can be found watching his two favorite shows, ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and ‘Jersey Shore.’
After GRCC Hilliard plans on transferring to a division one program and continuing to follow his dream.
