GRCC hosts three-day gun violence symposium


Grand Rapids Community College is hosting a three day symposium entitled “The Stewart Edward White Hall Symposium on Contemporary Issues: Gun Violence in America,” focusing on the controversies of the issue.

The symposium takes place 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Feb. 11-13 in room 108 of Sneden Hall at the GRCC Devos Campus, located at 415 Fulton St. East in Grand Rapids.

Tonight will focus on the psychological facet of the debate, Tuesday on the social and economic aspects, and Wednesday on the criminal justice aspect.

The event is put on by GRCC’s Psychology, Social Sciences and Criminal Justice departments and is open to the public.
