The Grand Rapids Community College Raider men’s basketball team defeated the Aquinas Saints on Nov. 14 with a solid 19-point lead.

“The Saints made it difficult,” Head Coach TJ Carnegie said. “They were hard to defend and had some excellent shooting. Our guys overcame it though and in the end, were able to make some tweaks in our defense and pull it out.”

Miles Robinson, second-year guard, led scoring with 22 points.

“Robinson stepped in, made big shots and really broke through at the end,” Carnegie said.

The win is a good sign for the Raiders, who began the season with razor thin loss to Mott Community College Bears on Nov. 2 and are currently 1-2.
