After rough start of the season, GRCC men’s basketball wins third game in a row

Grand Rapids Community College men’s basketball team defeated Albion JV 86-73 Tuesday night, to extend its winning streak to three games.

The Raiders’ DeMarkus Stuckey had a team-high 13 points and also led the team in assists with five.

In addition to Stuckey’s performance, Miles Robinson scored 12 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Cameron Burhannon went 6 of 6 from the field for 12 points, and Courtney Hill finished with 10.

GRCC controlled the boards, out-rebounding Albion JV 47-34. C.J. Mackey had a season-high 13 rebounds for the Raiders.

GRCC led 45-39 at halftime and outscored the Britons 41-34 in the second half to pull away shooting a season best 52% from the field for the game.

Albion JV’s Dakota Kazen led all scorers with 24 points, and Matt Fulls finished with 18.

After starting the season 0-2, the Raiders improved to 3-2, and will host Delta College Dec. 11.
