Some services still available during spring break

By Jasiel Ochoa-Mendoza – Collegiate Staff

Grand Rapids Community College students are on spring break this week, but a couple campus services will remain open. The campus dining areas will be closed during spring break, but the ATC Open Computer/Tutor Lab and the library will have shortened hours. One thing that will remain open to students will be the Academic Testing Services.

The GRCC library will be open  from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed Saturday and Sunday. No faculty will be on campus to assist, so instruction or reference services will be limited.  Student assistants will be available. Students are also able to use the computers and check out books.

The ATC Open Computer/Tutor Lab is open for shortened hours during break as well. It will be open Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and closed Friday through Sunday.

Campus Dining will be closed during spring break, which includes all facilities such as the Raider Grille, The Quiet Cafe and The Sneden Cafe. The dining areas reopen when classes resume Monday, March 14.

GRCC Academic Testing Services will be providing tests from CLEP and Challenge exams for college credit, to professional certification exams for the business community during break.

Hours for academic testing services will remain the same and those consist of:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday – 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Saturday – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
