Grand Rapids judge asks defendant Marcus Bivins if he understands what was happening, after his defense attorney asks for more time to review casework.

The preliminary hearing for a Grand Rapids man facing an open murder charge for killing Jeanne Lyn Huntoon and leaving her body near a parking ramp on the Grand Rapids Community College campus has been postponed until May 31.

The defendant, Marcus Bivins, 19, appeared in the Grand Rapids 61st District Court today with his attorney John Grace who requested additional time to review casework.

Bivins was arraigned earlier this month on charges stemming from the April 30 murder of Huntoon, 34, of Grand Rapids.
