This week’s list of events to check out includes the band Lost System at the Pyramid Scheme, the final show for the summer at the DAAC and a fireworks display at Ah-Nab-Awen Park.

The Pyramid Scheme is presenting the bands Lost System, M.Sord, Forever Grey and Real Ghosts at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Lost System is a post punk, dark synth band from Grand Rapids. M.Sord is one man synth project out of Michigan. Forever Grey is a coldwave/darkwave duo also from Grand Rapids. Real Ghosts is a dark synth group from Detroit. Tickets are $6. Guests 21 and up are welcome.

The DAAC is presenting their last show at their current location of 333 Rumsey for the summer at 8 p.m. Saturday. The bands featured are I’m Glad It’s You, Everybody Forever, Momentai, and Long Live Walter Jameson. I’m Glad It’s You is a punk/emo band from California. Everybody forever is a pop rock band from Detroit. Momentai is an indy, math rock band from Grand Rapids. And Long Live Walter Jameson is emo punk from Kalamazoo. Tickets are for a $5 donation and the doors open at 7 p.m.

Amway Family Fireworks is hosting a fireworks display at Ah-Nab-Awen Park at 10:30 p.m. Saturday. Before the fireworks display there will be live entertainment starting at 5:30 p.m. The lineup includes the 566 Air National Guard Band, Upstage Crew Blues Band, DJ Monica Parker and Hey Marco. The event is free and open to the public.

The Berlin Raceway will be holding a fireworks display after the Memorial Race, starting after the race on Saturday, July 2. The Berlin Raceway is located at 2060 Berlin Fair Drive, in Marne.

Grand Haven State Park is holding their annual 4th of July fireworks display near the Waterfront Stadium and runs from 10 p.m. until 10:45 p.m. Be sure to arrive early as the event is very popular and well attended. The event is free and open to the public.

The City of Kentwood is holding all day festivities and fireworks at dusk on July 4. The day begins with a pancake breakfast, followed by the Autocam 5K Race and Fun Walk. A parade will follow the race starting at 9:30 a.m. From 6 p.m. until ten, the Crestwood Middle School will be hosting carnival rides, food, live entertainment and fireworks at dusk.
