On Nov. 10, the Grand Rapids Community College will be hosting a Veteran’s Day Observation.

The event will start at 10:45 a.m. with Innovation Central High School’s JROTC color guard at the Dr. Juan R. Olivarez Student Plaza (Bostwick Commons).

The Reveille, a GRCC student, Stacie McCarthy and GRCC faculty member, Kristy Welling will be performing the national anthem followed by a poetry reading by GRCC student, Fred Betencourt.

GRCC President, Bill Pink, will also give a speech to audience members about the importance of the day.

“I am proud to be part of this tribute to our veterans,” Pink said in the event’s press release. “Their service has made a difference all over the world, and they enrich our community and our campus.”

Following the ceremony, the public is invited to a lunch reception in room 55 of the Main Building.
