The Grand Rapids Community College women’s volleyball team capped off an impeccable regular season finishing with a impressive 25-1 overall record and 16-0 in conference play.

This season was nothing short of magical as head coach Chip Will secured his 300th career win as the Raiders’ head coach. The Raiders displayed dominance over almost all of their opponents and they seemed to never let up.

Early in the season, the Raiders defeated two ranked teams within two days, beating #12 McHenry County College and #4 Catawba Valley Community College. Those two victories propelled them to becoming a nationally ranked squad and they have been riding that winning wave ever since.

Their success during the regular season presented them the opportunity to host the MCCAA State tournament at the Fieldhouse and did not disappoint. The Raiders once again put on a great performance and won the whole tournament on their home floor.

They now head into Regionals tonight being the No.3 ranked team in the country and riding a 19-game winning streak.

Now that the Raiders have another conference championship crown and a state title, the Regional crown is now in their sights.

Regional competition opens up for the Raiders tonight at 6 p.m., in Port Huron, Michigan as they will be competing against Muskegon Community, Sinclair Community College, and Lansing Community College for the next two days.
