Need an extra incentive to work out? Look no further than this week’s app, Charity Miles. With Charity Miles, users can make an impact through various charities while walking, running, or cycling.
The Charity Miles app will donate 25 cents for every mile walked or jogged and 10 cents for every mile logged while biking to the user’s chosen charity. Charity Miles is able to connect users with their favorite charities to donate funds and make a difference with the help of sponsors like Humana, Johnson & Johnson, Chobani and more.
Since the app’s launch in 2012, Charity Miles has raised $2.5 million for charity. The current pool, which ends May 31, 2018, has raised $500,000 so far. With over 40 charities to choose from, including the World Wildlife Fund, Special Olympics, Wounded Warrior Project and many more, it’s easy to help.
The Charity Miles app is free to download on Android and Apple devices and is easy to set up. Users can either login with their Facebook account or email at the initial setup. While users can only choose one charity at a time to donate to, they can change the charity at each workout.
