Due to the campus closure for the remaining of the semester, the Grand Rapids Community College bookstore will also be closed, but that doesn’t mean that students will be getting charged late fees for books that are currently rented.

The GRCC bookstore sent out an email to students regarding the changes they are implementing to help students gain access to textbooks or how to return their books they currently have.

For books that are currently rented, the bookstore is offering free return shipping labels. While the bookstore is extending the period to return without penalty, it’s unclear when the bookstore will be opening again to do in-person returns.

Email sent to students regarding changes for the GRGG Bookstore.

The second thing they’re doing is giving students access to free eBooks. This will give students the ability to access seven different eBooks at a time per GRCC account.

The final thing they’re doing to support students is giving them free access to Lumen Learning OER Courseware. Lumen is an open educational resource to help students succeed in their education. The cost is usually $25 per semester, however, it’s currently free for enrolled students.
