Well, we’re still here. Corona is still spreading, many people are still not social distancing. People are still dying.

Politicians like President Donald Trump are still talking and fighting amongst themselves, and nothings getting done. It almost seems like they’re more worried about the economy and poll numbers rather than the Americans getting sick and dying.

You know, Mr. President, these are the same people who you are supposed to lead and represent. But you are too busy spouting out the same old message and propaganda, touting yourself and your people, and fighting with governors such as Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer.

Of all possible times, this is not the one for politics or petty feuds.  And before you say it, no I am not a Republican, but I am not a Democrat either. I am just a student journalist from Michigan. This is not fake news. This is real. This is tragic. This is concerning.

You claim you are a leader and yet you name call, you bully, and you try to silence. But you will not be able to silence us this time. Now is the time for action. Now is the time to prove that you are a good leader. Open your eyes, Mr. President.  We need a leader now, someone to give us light in these dark times, hope when it seems hopeless. Now is the time to act like the president of the United States.
