Following election day Grand Rapids Community College is hosting two events to gather students and the GRCC community to discuss the election. These events are being hosted by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Student Alliance.

On Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. there will be a post election Town Hall, which will be held virtually through Zoom. This event is open to only GRCC students, faculty and staff, and Golden Raiders. To register for the event you can sign up online. The event link will be sent out two hours prior to the event starting.

Thursday, Student Alliance is hosting another event for students only at 3:30 p.m. This is a post election forum where students can share their reactions to the election, regardless of political party. Similar to Wednesday’s event this will be held via Zoom, so participants need to RSVP, which you can do online.

GRCC faculty is also hosting a faculty only event following the election on Friday at 1 p.m. Those interested have to register to be a part of the roundtable virtually

With the election many people are being faced with uncertainty, by having these open forums Student Alliance is giving the community a platform to voice their concerns.
