Grand Rapids Community College released a brief reminder that facility maintenance would be conducting fire pump tests Friday, Sept. 24.
These tests may activate the outdoor horns and strobe lights for upwards of 20 minutes, but students and faculty are asked to ignore these tests. e
Facility maintenance will begin conducting the fire pump tests at 7 a.m. at the Applied Technology Center. They will then move on to the Calkins Science Center, and conclude their tests at College Park Plaza.
In the event of an actual emergency during the maintenance tests, students and faculty will be alerted through the Emergency Phone Alert System and indoor fire alarms.
