GRCC Men’s basketball stays undefeated

The Grand Rapids Community College basketball team defeated Glen Oaks Community College 94-73 on Saturday, Dec. 3.

“That was a great win for our program” head coach Joe Fox said, “Coach Elliot does a great job at Glen Oaks, and they have a very talented group this year.” 

The Raider’s dominated from start to finish, taking a 12-point-lead into halftime and continued to control the game,  while shooting 44% from the field. 

The team was led by sophomore Danyel Bibbs who had a double-double with 25 points and 10 assists. Sophomore Myron Brewer picked up 14 points while shooting 4-5 from the 3 point line, and made a huge impact on defense with four blocks. Everyone on the team was getting involved though with scoring spread throughout the team.

“Our defensive intensity was at a level we haven’t had in a few guys, and I’m excited about the level of buy-in,” Fox said. “Danyel Bibbs and Myron Brewer both played their best games of the season. We have two good challenges between us and Christmas break. We will be ready for Thursday and Saturday.” 

After this big win the Raiders stay undefeated at 8-0.Their next game is Thursday, Dec. 8 against Hope College JV at the Ford Fieldhouse.
