Sit back and relax! The mental health-centric comedy show, “StressedAF,” hosted by comedian Patrick McIntyre is coming to campus this Tuesday, Dec. 5 in room 168 of the Applied Technology Center (ATC).

“StressedAF” is an interactive comedy show aiming to provide students with the necessary tools to combat their stress. “The program is presented in a way that it engages with students and shows them how to take control of what they can that directly affects their stress levels through audience interaction and humor,” said Campus Activities Board President Brayden Smith.

“StressedAF” will explore a variety of topics, such as depression, anxiety and suicide prevention. The show also aims to let students know that they’re not alone in their struggles, as at this point in the semester many are under a lot of pressure.

Smith has hopes that students will walk out of this show with realistic tools to take ownership of what they can change in their lives.

“As a society, we’re all going through this, we all have stressors,” Smith said. “And (we can learn) how we can tackle that and change what we can in our lives and not worry so much about what we can’t change.”

The show is free for students and begins at 3 p.m. in room 168 of the ATC. Small snacks will also be provided.

“It’s not going to be a boring lecture.” Said Smith. “It’s going to be something that’s enjoyable for everybody.”

For fans of standup, Aiko Tanaka will also be coming to campus later this week on Friday Dec. 8 in room 168 of the ACT from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
