Grand Rapids Community College women’s soccer team was defeated in an away match against School Craft College that ended in a 0-4 on Friday, Sept. 13 after their match with Terra State Community College was canceled. The women’s soccer team record is now 0-4-1.

The women’s team tried their best but couldn’t leave with the victory against the Ocelots.

Jason Hill, the head coach of the women’s soccer team, mentioned that his team made mistakes but played well and so did their opponents during Friday’s match. He also said how he and the Raiders are ready for the next match.

“It was a well-played game. School Craft is a quality side, and when you make the type of mistakes we made against that type of opponent, you will get punished for it,” Hill stated in an email to The Collegiate. “The team played well, we played a good game. This is the first conference game, we are trained and ready, and are looking forward to Wednesday’s match.”

The Raiders are still fighting for their first victory of the season at their home match now against Lake Michigan College at 1. p.m. this Wednesday, Sept.18 in Kentwood, MI. For more information, go over to Grccraiders.comgrcc.
