According to the daily crime log at Grand Rapids Community College, an incident of fourth degree criminal sexual misconduct, or forced touching, was reported on the Lakeshore Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 13 between 5 and 5:30 p.m.

The Collegiate was told Thursday it would receive a redacted copy of the incident report, filed on Nov. 20, but when editors arrived at the police department, Chief of Police Rebecca Whitman informed The Collegiate editors that they would not be able to look over a copy of the report due to the investigation’s ongoing status.

The GRCCPD does not patrol the Lakeshore Campus located in Holland, as the college contracts with DK security to patrol the campus. As explained on page 2 in the 2024 Annual Security Report.
