Former Grand Rapids Community College President Charles K. Lepper is one of three finalists for the President position at Macomb Community College, located near Detroit.
Lepper, who was president of GRCC for a little over two years, was placed on administrative leave in March 2024 after he was announced as a finalist for the presidency at Madison Area Technical College. Lepper resigned from GRCC back in April of 2025. According to his contract, he can collect his year’s worth salary and benefits from the college until he finds other employment. He did not get the position at Madison.
He is scheduled to visit Macomb CC on Thursday, March 5, for a forum interview session with the campus community.
