The life of a college student can be busy and expensive. For this reason, the Center of Student Life and Leadership, Student Government, and Staff Development at Grand Rapids Community College offer students the GoSeeGR pass.

Tyler Anderson, Student Life’s Service and Technology Coordinator, oversees the Raider Card production and its hardware. He said the pass has been around for at least 10 years.

“Out of the Student Life office, we’re all about engagement, so being able to offer the GoSeeGR pass…helps lower the costs for visits. A lot of students weren’t utilizing or able to attend student life events because time is limited for them, so they wanted to offer some things that were off campus,” Anderson said.

The pass offers students free general admission into the Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapids Public Museum, Grand Rapids Children’s Museum, the John Ball Zoo, and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.

The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum offers free general admission and up to two free guests as well. This is the only participating partner that offers an additional two guests. Adults are not permitted to enter the Museum without children. Adults are considered anyone 18 or older.

The GoSeeGR pass is available to all enrolled students and is part of tuition, listed as Campus Activity Fee, which is $5 for part-time students and $10 for full-time students.

Employees at GRCC also have access to the benefits of the GoSeeGR pass. Staff Development at GRCC sponsors and funds the cost of this program for employees.

GoSeeGR passes can be obtained at the Student Life office front desk located on the first floor of the Student Center or at the Lakeshore campus front desk. You must present your Raider Card at the time of picking it up.

The GoSeeGR pass lasts from July to June each year. The current pass’s last date is June 30th, but you can pick up another pass in July, allowing you to enjoy the benefits during the summer.
