On Thursday, April 11, Grand Rapids Community College Assistant Professor Sarah Waller-Nicolette and her culinary class will host a Baker’s Market in the Secchia Piazza from 9 – 11 a.m.
“The students are super excited about the market,” said Waller-Nicolette. “They have chosen really unique recipes and the variety is really cool this semester… I am really grateful for my team (class) they are really motivated and it is going to be an awesome market!”
One student from Nicolette’s culinary class shared her excitement for the event.
“I think the process for the Baker’s Market has been a great experience for my class in understanding what it’s like to be fulfilling a big number of orders, as well as getting a taste of marketing,” said Culinary student Lexi Miller, 19 of Greenville. “…I’m excited for people to be able to come into our school and get a taste of our culinary program!”
Desserts such as cupcakes, puff pastries, quiche and more will be available for sale including treats for your pets. Get there early because supplies are limited.
