On Friday, Feb. 14, the Kent Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing in Royce Auditorium of the Saint Cecilia Music Center at 7:30 p.m.
According to the orchestra’s website, the Kent Philharmonic Orchestra is a “true community orchestra.” The group includes volunteer and professional musicians. The volunteers include working adults as well as student musicians.
For their Feb. 14 performance, the Kent Philharmonic Orchestra put together what they call on their website, a “Valentine Special-Favorite Opera Love Duets.” This performance will feature a combination of a piece from “Romeo and Juliet” and several opera pieces. These opera pieces will be performed by mezzo-soprano, HaYoung Jung and tenor, Brysien Beer.
There is a maximum seating capacity of 650. Tickets to this event are $14 for adults, seniors, veterans and children over 12 are $7 and children under 12, as well as GRCC and high school students are free.
