On Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m., practicing forensic psychologist Dr. Jeffery T. Kieliszewski will be giving a lecture, “The Real World of Forensic Psychology,” in room 168 of the Wisner-Bottrall Applied Technology Center at Grand Rapids Community College as part of the Psychology department’s Lecture Series.
According to psychology professor and event head, Dr. Kate Christian, “The speaker series is an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to learn about various topics within psychology.”
Kieliszewski is a graduate of the University of Iowa and is practicing at HRA Psychological Services. In addition, he is a YouTuber with 14.2 thousand subscribers. Kieliszewski posts videos explaining subjects focused on the psychology of criminals.
Recently, Kieliszewski published his own novel, “Darksides,” a psychological thriller about a psychoanalyst with a double life, one with a loving wife and thriving practice, the other a life of crime.
Kieliszewski has been featured on numerous podcasts and television programs, like “Crime Stories with Nancy Grace,” a six-season crime show. He also visited campus in 2015, and talked about “The Real World of Forensic Psychology” at that time, too. The recording of his lecture can be found on GRCCtv.
