Grand Rapids Community College sent out an official “GRCC Alert” at 12:02 p.m. on July 19, warning the campus community of an armed robbery under investigation by the Grand Rapids Police Department.
The incident happened in the elevator of Parking Ramp A earlier in the day, at approximately 10:30 a.m., while campus was closed.

All three suspects have been arrested, and there is no ongoing threat. The GRCC Police Department urges anyone on campus to be vigilant and take precautions.
“We encourage you to utilize GRCC Police Safe Walk service, travel in groups when possible, walk in well-lit areas, and be aware of your surroundings,” The GRCC Alert stated. “GRCC has emergency call boxes located throughout campus to quickly reach the police.”
Anyone who feels unsafe or witnesses suspicious activity should call the GRCC Police Department at (616) 234-4911.
