The Collins Art Gallery located on the fourth floor of the Main Building will be housing many upcoming fall events.
Artprize will be the first of the events to arrive. Work from different artists will be on display from September 21 – October 10. Gallery curator and Professor of Photography here at GRCC, Filippo Tagliati, says he’s very involved. “This year Artpize is going to be a big deal,” said Tagliati. The artists on display include: Erin Anderson, Sharon Pollice, Victoria Mullen, Gabriel Craig, Clay Stauffer, William Meese, Justin Kellner, Kent Wizjaczka, and Juan Fernandez. The artists range from local to country wide talent. The art displayed will vary from paintings and 2D tradition styles to contemporary sculptures. Art will not only be limited to the gallery. “There will also be an installation outside,” says Tagliati.
The next event is the Faculty Exhibition taking place from October 17 to November 18. Art from the faculty of GRCC will be on display.
The final event of the Fall Season is the Student Xmas Art Sale. Art from fellow GRCC students will be sold from November 28 – December 9.
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10am to 7pm, and Friday from 12pm to 3pm.
