GRCC head softball coach, Paula Maloley received the Easton Victory Club Award from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on December first in Las Vegas recognizing her accomplishment of 600 career wins.
Now hanging up in her humble abode is an 8×11 plaque with a team picture in the background honoring her for the achievement. Maloley is proud of her achievement, but is quick to give her thanks and praise to everyone who has helped her reach the feet.
“First and foremost I’m grateful I could accomplish 600 wins but I couldn’t have done it without everyone who’s been there along the way including players, assistant coaches and all the great people who have been apart of it along the way,” Maloley said.
Maloley began coaching the Raiders in 1986 and has been at the helm for 25 years. She reached the 600-win plateau after winning in Regional’s last season.
“It’s a great accomplishment and all of us at GRCC are very proud of her”, Athletic Director Charlie Wells said.
The NFCA was founded in the 80’s and has over 4,000 members within different
Maloley still plans to coach many more years at GRCC.
“As long as I continue to have the passion for the game–I’ll keep coaching. I really enjoy seeing these student athletes succeed.”
