Grand Rapids Community College’s Gay-Straight Alliance group, StandOUT, hosted a booth to promote the 25th anniversary of Coming Out Day. Coming Out Day is Friday, Oct. 11 this year.
“It’s been a really good success this year,” said Eirann Betka, President of StandOUT.
Representatives from StandOUT were on the Olivarez Student Plaza explaining the event and staffing the ‘Board of Love’.
“We wanted to have people post things about what they love, and then they can kind of reflect on what other people love,” Betka said.
StandOUT meets weekly in the Farside Room on the first floor of the Student Center, at 1 p.m. on Mondays.
