Performing tonight will be Grand Rapids Community College’s Jazz Orchestra, directed by GRCC professor Michael Gillan and Robert Engelsman. The GRCC Jazz Combo is directed by Engelsman, and Shades of Blue, a vocal jazz ensemble, and the Shades of Blue Combo are both directed by Robin Connell.
The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. at the GRCC Raider Grille. A $5 donation for admission is suggested. Hot dogs, chips, and beverages will be sold during the concert.
Proceeds from Grand Rapids Community College’s jazz night on Monday will be going to the Duane Shields Davis Vocal Jazz Scholarship.
