Sign up ends today for GRCC first dodgeball tournament

Grand Rapids Community College is hosting its First Annual 6-on-6 Co-ed Charity Dodgeball Tournament on Jan. 25 at the Ford Fieldhouse.

There will be two divisions, one that is recreational and one that is competitive. Teams are compiled of six people; three males and three females. Teams with players under the age of 18 must compete in the recreational division.

The cost is $125 per team. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the American Cancer Society. The cost of the event includes a t-shirt and all profits are donated to charity.

Each team is guaranteed four matches, with each match being a best of three series.

Other activities at the event include a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Entry and payment is due by today. Registration forms to are available by logging onto the GRCC Athletic website (www.grccraiders.com), by stopping by the Ford Fieldhouse, or requesting one by email (jklutts@grcc.edu).
