On Friday, Grand Rapids Community College will have two tornado drills in all buildings on campus, once during the morning and once in the afternoon after 3 p.m.. It is mandated by the state to conduct two tornado drills a year.

“The most important thing for students to do is to follow the directions of staff and faculty to ensure safety and to listen so you are prepared in case of a real emergency,” GRCC Police Chief Rebecca Whitman said.
