Each year, Frederik Meijer Gardens celebrates the holidays with an event that represents over 40 international traditions.
Mainstays of the exhibit include a German tree covered with handmade glass ornaments and springerle cookies, an England tree with antique Christmas cards and mistletoe and the Eid al-Fitr display which celebrates the end of Ramadan.
“The holidays are always a magical time at Meijer Gardens,” said Andrea Wolschleger, public relations manager of Frederik Meijer Gardens. “The young and young-at-heart can appreciate the glow of the lit trees, the enchanting Railway Garden and really get into the holiday spirit with reindeer and Santa appearances.”
Admission is $12 for adults and $9 for students and is on display through Jan. 3, 2016.
On Dec. 15-17, 22, 23, 26 and 28-30 Meijer Gardens’ closing hours will extend from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. for special events.
