The Grand Rapids Community College Police Academy held a commencement ceremony for the graduating class of 2015 on Nov. 5 at the Ford Fieldhouse.
This year’s graduating class consisted of two squads, totaling 32 recruits who received a challenge coin after completing a year-long program.
The challenge coin is a coin earned and and represents the hard work the cadets endured in order to graduate from the academy.
