CAB showing free movies in the Raider Grille this semester

By Kevin Matienzo – Collegiate Staff

Throughout the semester, the Grand Rapids Community College Campus Activities Board will be hosting “CC Cinema,” a free movie showing for students.

This event, put together by CAB President Hana Christoffersen and her team, will be held in the Raider Grille. Every show occurs from 12 p.m to 2 p.m.

“My team and I worked with a vendor to order the stuffed animals,” Christoffersen said. “We also work closely with Campus Dining to provide food. At this event, we will provide free cupcakes. We reserve the space, advertise the event through flyers and Facebook, and gather volunteers.”

Not only will there be a movie show, but there will also be some refreshments. Any student at GRCC is welcome to come help and organize CC Cinema.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, CAB will be showing “Crazy, Stupid, Love.”

“I hope students feel excited for Valentine’s Day, and I hope they form friendships through this event,” Christoffersen said. This is an incredibly popular event, so there are many opportunities to interact with cool people.”

CC Cinema will be a great event in which students can get to know one another and form a community on campus.

The following movies and dates are provided below:

Crazy, Stupid, Love: February 16 – 18 from 12 p.m.-2 p.m.
