"Saturday Night Live" has posted five videos satirizing the 2016 election.

Tensions are rising as we get closer and closer to finding out who the next president of the United States will be. As the countdown continues, here’s some humorous facts to lighten the mood.

  1. Back to the Future II

According to an article by USA Today, “Back to the Future II”  villain Biff Tannen was originally based on Donald Trump. Tannen’s leadership and the wasteland he creates is also based on what kind of world the screenwriters believed we would live in with the Republican candidate as president. A clip from the movie can be found below:

  1. The Simpsons

In 2000, as a parody of Back to the Future II, The Simpsons released an episode titled “Bart to the Future”, which featured Bart Simpson viewing a glimpse into his future adult life. His sister Lisa is now president, and states that the country is in quite a lot of debt thanks to her predecessor, Mr. Trump himself. One of the show’s writers, Dan Greaney, told CNN that the idea “was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane.” A clip from the episode can be found below:

3. Bad Lip Reading

Youtube channel Bad Lip Reading has created a total of four videos satirizing Decision 2016, including one for each presidential debate as well as a fake poetry slam between the candidates. Bad Lip Reading is known for overdubbing videos with hilarious vocals that match the mouth movements of those on camera, and their work with this year’s election is no exception. Check out the poetry slam below:

  1. Saturday Night Live

Popular comedy show “Saturday Night Live” created three segments dedicated to parodying the presidential debates. Comedian Alec Baldwin portrayed Trump, while actress Kate McKinnon played Hillary Clinton. They also released a video this past Monday and had Trump and Clinton face off for one final time.
