Campus Activities Board is hosting several upcoming events for students this week as we near closer to final exams.
CC Cinema is showing the movie “Elf” at noon December 6 in the Raider Grille, on the second floor of the Student Center.
“At one of Campus Activities Board’s general meetings we had everyone vote on the movies for the rest of the year and ‘Elf’ was the one that was voted for December,” said Ruben Resendiz, president of Campus Activities Board.
The event is free to all students and there will be free popcorn provided.
A stress buster event is being held between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. December 7 in the Raider Grille. The event will feature a “beach day” theme with sand art and other activities provided, as well as therapy dogs and free gloves. For refreshments, there will be a fruit bar and free boba tea from Boba Cafe available to those who attend.
Michigan Blood will be running a blood drive between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on December 12 in the SCC Multipurpose room, located behind the Quiet Cafe.
“This blood drive is sponsored by Michigan Blood, they always offer a free pizza coupon for all those that donate or at least attempt to donate,” Resendiz said.
Appointments are preferred and can be made in the Student Life Office and on the Michigan Blood website.
