This weekend there’s a lot of different events going on that you can go to, including comedy shows, World of Winter events, and different concerts. There’s something for everyone to do.
If live comedy is your thing and you can’t wait for LaughFest in March, Nikki Glaser is coming to 20 Monroe Live on Feb. 7, and starts at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $36 and can go up to $161, you can get them here. Glaser is known for her television show “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser” on Comedy Central.
Sleeping with Sirens is going to be playing at The Intersection on Sat. Feb. 8. The show starts at 7 p.m and tickets are $25 or $30 day of show. The doors open at 6 p.m and it is general admission. Tickets are available here or you can get them at the box office at The Intersection.
The Downtown Market is hosting a World of Winter event for the duration of the weekend, the Downtown Market Ice Bar. The events take place on Feb. 7 from 4 p.m- 8 p.m, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m- 2 p.m, and Feb. 9 from 12 p.m- 8 p.m. There will be an ice bar as well as yard games. The event is free to enter and is at 435 Ionia Ave.
Trippie Redd will be playing at 20 Monroe Live, Feb. 9. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $83 at the lowest and are going up to $250+, you can get tickets here. Doors will be at 6 p.m and all tickets are assigned seating unless you get general admission floor tickets.
The Pink Floyd laser light show is coming back to the Grand Rapids Public Museum, Sunday, Feb. 9. This will be taking place in the planetarium at the museum featuring music from “The Dark Side of the Moon.” If you’re prone to motion sickness, seizures, or light sensitivity, the museum recommends that you don’t go to this event. This event isn’t free, it’ll be approximately $12, because you’ll have to get into the museum, which is $8, and then pay for the lightshow, which is $4. Tickets are available here.
