On Friday, Grand Rapids Community College published information regarding the empty seat they now have on the Board of Trustees. This position was formerly held by Deb Bailey, community leader and activist, who died Monday morning due to complications from cancer.
Whomever fills this vacancy will be taking over Trustee Bailey’s position, which was a six-year term expiring December 31, 2020. Applications must be submitted to Misty McClure Anderson, Executive Deputy to the President and Board of Trustees Liaison, via email or mail by 5 p.m. on May 15. Interviews will be held the week of May 18.
The appointment for the unexpired term will be announced during the Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, June 15.
The Board of Trustees will be holding a budget work session through YouTube beginning at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 4.
