Property damage accident at Ramp A
On Sept. 21, GRCC Police were dispatched to a report of a Property Damage Accident PDA that occurred in parking Ramp A earlier in the day. Dispatch advised that someone was in the GRCC police department lobby awaiting assistance.
The 18-year-old woman was leaving parking Ramp A around 5 p.m. She was approaching the student exit on level one and advised that another vehicle driven by a 19-year-old, struck her in the passenger side door. After this, she and the driver who ran into her agreed to proceed to the GRCC police department.
Both vehicles, which were now parked in Ramp B, were damaged. The first individual’s car was damaged on the right passenger side, and the door was smashed in with obvious paint transfer. The other individual’s vehicle had damage on the rear bumper and showed damage and scrapes consistent with the story of both parties.
Due to this being a private property accident, both parties exchanged information and completed the GRCC self reporting accident form.
Woman in need of water and assistance
On Sept. 22 around 6:30 a.m., officers heard someone yelling outside the GRCC police department. A woman was laying on the ground with her personal belongings in a cart next to her.
When asked what was wrong, she reportedly yelled at the officer that she was tired and also was very thirsty and needed some water. Officers provided water to her. When asked if she needed medical attention, she continued to yell at the officer and denied medical services on multiple occasions.
Another officer arrived on scene and stated he would call the Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) to assist her. After several minutes of laying on the ground and drinking water, she was able to get up. She stated she was ok and continued walking on foot.
