The February Nintendo Direct was shown earlier this week, the company highlighted a few major games and other projects being worked on

The first game being Pikmin 4. Fans can expect to see new Pikmin and other creatures. Release date is set for July 23.

Fans have been anxiously awaiting the day Nintendo Switch Online would announce that we would finally be able to replay Gameboy games on the switch.

Players will be able to download digital versions of Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advanced games Including several Mario and Zelda Games, Metroid, Kirby’s Dreamland, with many more. Additional games will be included in the future. A multiplayer feature will be made accessible for the Advanced games. The initial releases were made availableFeb. 8

A new Zelda game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom had its second trailer announcement. The game will be taking place after the events of Breath of the Wild. Coming out May 12, 2023.

Learn of Bayonetta’s humble origins as the young witch Cereza in her new prequel game, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. Explore as Cereza as she works with demons to free her mother. The slayed release is March 17 2023.

Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe Magalor Expansion had a new trailer shown. The plot revolves around Magolor waking up in a new world trying to fend off enemies, restore his powers, and escape. Up to four players, the demo already available. A full version will be released Feb. 24, 2023.

Both Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 3 are dropping new sections of DLC this spring. Mario Kart will be gaining a Yoshi’s Island track, along with Birdo as a playable character. Splatoon 3 will be adding a new location, Inkopolis. Nintendo also dropped a teaser for the following wave of DLC, Side order only had a short clip shown not much is known yet.

Other games of note that were announced include: Metroid Prime Remastered, which launched after the Direct (coming to store shelves on Feb. 22). Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC wave 3, releasing on Feb.15. Deca Police, releasing by the end of the year. Fire Emblem’s next DLC wave released Feb. 8, Megaman Battle Network Legacy is coming out April 14.

That is all of the news the public received from the stream. Fans can expect another set of news on Feb. 27 for Pokémon day.
