The Voice Department is conducting its annual group recital for the semester Tuesday, March 12 from 7 to 8 p.m.
This recital will feature a series of solo repertoires. Students who have been working on their solo music from the start of the semester finally get an opportunity to showcase their voices.
“This recital is one of my favorite programs of the year because it’s open to anyone who takes voice lessons,” said Director of Choral and Vocal Activities Caleb Wenzel.
This recital will last about 45 minutes, featuring a variety of music including songs in four different languages. There will be songs including “Flower Duet” and selections from “The Music Man.” There will be several genres from musical theater, opera, art song and cabaret
Wenzel wants the community to know that the voice program is open to anyone from the community and all are welcome to take voice lessons or join the choir at GRCC. If you are interested in joining you can contact Wenzel at calebwenzel@grcc.edu.
“There is always more room for more people interested in singing,” stated Wenzel.
This event is FREE and will take place at Albert P. Smith Music Center-Linn Maxwell Recital Hall st GRCC.
