Grand Rapids Community College President Charles Lepper has been placed on paid administrative leave according to an email sent to campus staff by the Board of Trustees Friday night.
According to the email, Vice President of Finance and Administration Lisa Freiburger will serve as acting president while a review of Lepper’s contract is underway.
This announcement comes just a week after Lepper was named a finalist in the Madison Area Technical College presidential search. The GRCC Board did not disclose the date Lepper was placed on leave.
“While it would be inappropriate to discuss confidential personnel matters, we will share an update with the GRCC community when our review is complete,” the board stated via email.
The Collegiate reached out to Lepper for comment and will update this story if he responds.
