At 3:31 p.m. Oct. 14, two Grand Rapids Community College police officers responded to a report of two individuals engaged in sexual intercourse on the playground of GRCC’s preschool at First United Methodist Church, 227 E. Fulton Street.

When the officers arrived to the scene, the two subjects looked liked they were finishing as the man was putting his track pants back on and the woman was putting a sweatshirt on over her head.

The two officers made contact with the two people and they verbally identified themselves.

They admitted to the officers they had engaged in sexual intercourse. The woman said that the man had just gotten out of jail and they may have not used their best judgement.

The officers advised them to grab their belongings and leave the church property immediately.

The officers continued talking to the them as they were leaving, ensuring they knew not to do this again. If they did, they would be arrested for trespassing.

Both the man and woman said they understood and left the property.
