Grand Rapids Community College students can now print to campus printers via personal computers by using Google Cloud Print.
The process takes a few simple steps.
First, enter a student email and password at www.google.com/cloudprint to log into the print service.
Next, the student needs to upload a file to print. The student can choose between three printing options. The cost is 10¢ to print in gray, $1 to print in color, or free to save to Google Docs and print later.
After hitting “print”, the next step is to go over to the printer and swipe a RaiderCard or login with a GRCC username and password to release the print job.
“Students will now have the convenience to print from any personal device that can connect with Google Drive, where previously they were limited to installable drivers,” said Kelly Webber, the IT Support Desk Coordinator.
