Grand Rapids Community College will be hosting the International Guitar Series this Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Albert P. Smith Music Center.
The Grand Rapids guitar duo consists of Brian Morris and Johnathan Marshall. Both Marshall and Morris are natives of Grand Rapids and active members of the GRCC community.
Morris is currently in his twentieth year teaching at GRCC. He performs regularly with the guitar duo and as a soloist with the Grand Rapids Guitar Quartet. Many of Morris’ former students have successful careers within the music industry. He is the director of the GRCC International Guitar Series and has been a concert organizer for several years.
Marshall is a composer and classical guitarist. While teaching at GRCC he also Operates Johnathan Marshall Guitars and is the director of the GRCC International Guitar Series. Marshall currently performs solo and with the duo.
General Admission for this event is $15 and $10 for students and seniors. Tickets are available online, Parking is available in the GRCC Parking Ramp for $3.50. Be sure to ask for a parking voucher at the door.
