It’s finally time as the popular four day music festival “Lollapalooza” is once again making its legendary return to Grant Park in Chicago on Aug. 3-6.
Making a return from last year, the promotional game “Legend of Lolla,” where people play an adventure game roaming Grant Park revealed 12 acts that will be performing at the festival.
The artists confirmed through the game are alternative band Neil Frances, hip hop artist Ken Carson, dubstep DJ Svdden Death, rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie, indie rock artist Bakar, glam rock artist Declan McKenna, Korean indie band The Rose, alternative rock band Portugal. The Man, indie folk band the 502’s, trap artist Babytron, metal core band Knocked Loose, and lo-fi artist Alex G.
It seems this year the acts revealed are artists performing on the undercard compared to last year where three headliners had been revealed from the game.
Last year’s Lollapalooza was one for the history books as a new contract had been signed to keep the festival in Chicago for 10 more years and K-pop artist J-Hope became the first Korean headliner in any major U.S festival.
The rest of the lineup will be revealed on Tuesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. CT as the road to Lollapalooza continues to move forward.
