On Thursday, Nov. 30th, Grand Rapids Community College Culinary Department is having its first-ever bakers market.

Chef Sarah Waller-Nicolette, an assistant professor, organized the market as a class project with her retail baking class.

The baker’s market will be at the Secchia Piazza in the Applied Technology Center from 9-11 a.m. and is open to the public. The market is first come first come first serve and will close early if all items sell out.

Each student is making something different. There will be treats like cookies, cupcakes, cannoli, macarons and even fully decorated cakes.

Each item will be $4 and the decorated cakes will be $16.
