Grand Rapids Community College has a combined total of 10 sports teams competing in the National Junior College Association between men’s and women’s athletics. Students and sports fan’s can take advantage of this.
Let’s get fan’s in the stands.
At GRCC, women compete in basketball, volleyball, soccer, cross-country and softball, while men compete in basketball, baseball, cross-country, soccer and golf.
The athletic program as a whole has been extremely successful over the years. Women’s volleyball won both conference and Michigan Community College Athletic Association championships in 2023. Men’s baseball also won conference and MCCAA championships in 2023 as well. Golf currently sits on back to back regional championships. Supporting GRCC student athletes empowers them to play better and brings an electric environment, while also giving our non-athletic students a chance to embrace college life and support their classmates.

Fellow students at GRCC can attend home games for FREE with their current RaiderCard.

For those who are unable to attend home games but still wish to support our campus teams, online streaming is available for baseball, volleyball, soccer and basketball.
Baseball and softball home games are played at Belknap Park.
Soccer home games are played at Midwest United.
Cross-country home races are ran at Gainey Field.
All Volleyball and basketball home games are played right on campus at the Ford Field house.
“Some of what you miss going to a community college that does not offer housing is missing some of those on campus events, like sports. We have a bunch of teams our students can be proud of,” said Fox. If you have not been able to catch a sporting event yet, the perfect time might be during this homecoming week. The volleyball team has a home game tonight Thursday, Oct 10th. Tailgating starts at 4 p.m., while the game starts at 6:30 p.m.
