Starting November 15 through December 2, the academic testing services at GRCC will be offering challenge exams for half off of the original price of $55.
Challenge exams are created by GRCC faculty members to develop exams used in classrooms. This enables students to test out of a designated college course. However, these credits will not transfer and are only intended for GRCC students who do not plan on transferring to other colleges, universities, or other educational institutions.
These exams are for GRCC students only. The College Level Examination Program or, CLEP $20 registration fee will also be waived at this time.
The hours that you can take these challenge exams are Monday through Thursday between the times of 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Also, students can take the challenge exams on Saturday between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students will need to present a picture ID for all tests.
Students pay at the Cashier’s Office located in room 154 in the Main Building. Students will then bring their receipt to the Assessment center where they will schedule you to take the exams.
Certain exams such as AD 175, AD 232, AD 243, GH 110, GH 125, GH 126, NUR 101, and NUR 102 may only be able to be taken once.
There are study guides for some courses where you can find online at www.grcc.edu/testing for exams for nurses classes like NUR 101, NUR 102, NUR 103, which are the most popular to take.
